Abingdon Day is about celebrating our community. This free event has something for just about everyone.
Awesome Vendors
A wider variety of local vendors offer items from handmade soaps to specialty items, from crafts to services.
Fun Activities
We’ve partnered with Amazing Entertainment Inc. to provide 5 fun rides/activities. Tickets are required for these and they are appropriate for those from ages 2-82.
Not into bounce houses or train rides? We will have good tunes flowing, a scavenger hunt with fun prizes, a silent auction, and a chance to walk away with a great dessert by participating in a cake walk.
Everyone in your family will find something fun to do.
Community Organizations
Our county is enriched by great organizations - we’ll have some of them here for you to meet and learn from. So far, we know that the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic, the Gloucester Mathews Humane Society, and the DARE program will be here that day.
Food
You won’t have to leave the fun. You can buy lunch here for a reasonable price.
History
This is your chance to experience 1 of only 10 pre-Revolutionary buildings in Gloucester.
Explore the 1755 church where Thomas Jefferson worshipped, check out the archeological dig of the 17th Century church, or do a scavenger hunt.
